On the evening of Monday, May 20, a large fire broke out in an open area near Metula due to gunfire from Lebanon.
Two firefighting brigades from the Galil Golan station, along with crews from the Department of Nature Protection and National Parks, were dispatched to extinguish the blaze.
Volunteers from the Metula Self-Defense Unit, trained in firefighting, were also on-site to assist.
