Ambassadors of Ireland, Spain, Norway summoned to Foreign Ministry to view abduction recording
Foreign Minister Israel Katz has summoned the ambassadors of Ireland, Spain, and Norway for a discussion and to view a video recording by Hamas terrorists showing the kidnapping of military observers on October 7.
"They decided to give a gold medal to the murderers and rapists of Hamas, and we will show them how perverted the decision was made by their government," emphasized the foreign minister.
Earlier today, Norway, Ireland, and Spain announced the recognition of the independence of the state of Palestine. This decision, agreed upon with EU leadership, will come into force in a few days.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz regarded such recognition as an attempt to undermine Israeli sovereignty and strike a blow at the security of the Jewish state. "In this way, Ireland and Norway proclaim that terror pays off," he said.
"After the October 7 massacre, which was the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust, after the horrific sexualized crimes of terrorists in front of the whole world, these countries decided to give Hamas and Iran the prize of recognizing a Palestinian state," Katz added.
Hamas welcomed the decision of Norway, Ireland, and Spain to recognize the Palestinian state. "We see this as the first and very important step towards recognizing our rights to our territory," Hamas said in an official statement.
