Hamas Beit Hanoun battalion commander Hasin Fiaj was eliminated by the IDF and the General Security Service (Shin Bet) in Jabalia.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit reported that soldiers of the 98th Division, the Yahalom unit, and a special air force unit eliminated the militant while he was in an underground tunnel in the Jabalia area.
According to Israeli intelligence services, Hasin Fiaj is responsible for shelling Israeli territory with anti-tank missiles and mortar attacks on Israeli border settlements.
The elimination of the militant is part of the combat operations of the 98th division soldiers, aimed at detecting and destroying tunnels and eliminating terrorists hiding in them.
