Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office says he will consult senior ministers via phone following the International Court of Justice's order on Israel's military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
Netanyahu will speak with Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Foreign Minister Israel Katz, National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi, Military Secretary Roman Gofman, and Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara.
As anticipated, the court demanded the immediate cessation of the military operation in Rafah.
"Israel is obligated to immediately cease the military operation and any actions in the Rafah area that may adversely affect the civilian population of the city," the court's ruling stated.
Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has already responded to the International Court's decision, stating that the answer should be "the occupation of Rafah, increased military pressure, and the complete defeat of Hamas."
