From 2:00 to 2:06 PM on May 26, the rocket sirens system sounded in central Israel.
The alert and explosions were heard in Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Petah Tikva, Ramat Hasharon, Tel Aviv, Ra'anana, and several smaller communities.
According to the IDF, eight rockets were fired from the Rafah area toward Israeli territory, some of which were intercepted by the missile defense system. At least two impact sites of rockets or large fragments were recorded in the Sharon district, with one rocket landing in an open area near Kfar Saba.
Magen David Adom reported that two women in the Herzliya area sustained minor injuries while heading to a bomb shelter during the rocket attack. The injured women are 52 and 30 years old. Several others required medical assistance for shock.
Hamas claimed responsibility for this rocket attack on central Israel from the Rafah area in Gaza.
It's the first rocket attack on central Israel since January 29.
