Three weeks after the start of the operation in Rafah, the IDF announced on Wednesday that it has established "operational control" over the entire Philadelphi Corridor, which runs for a total of 14 kilometers all along the Gaza-Egypt border.
Israel's Channel 14 reported that Israeli soldiers are now positioned along the entire length of the corridor, except for a small section near the coast, which is controlled with surveillance and firepower.
The IDF also reported the discovery of at least 20 Hamas tunnels connecting the Gaza Strip with Egypt, as well as the destruction of dozens of terrorist rocket launchers ready for use.
