Opposition party leaders hold meeting, await Gantz's departure from government
Yair Lapid (leader of the Yesh Atid party and head of the opposition) met with Avigdor Lieberman (leader of the Our Home Israel party) and Gideon Saar (leader of the Yamin Mamlakhti party).
According to the Yesh Atid press service, "All three leaders agreed on an action plan to change the government for the future of the State of Israel. They expect Gantz to leave the government and join the forum to facilitate this change."
Similarly, the NDI press service stated that during the meeting, "an action plan was agreed upon to change the government, guided by the interests of the country and the future of Israel. Lapid, Lieberman, and Saar anticipate Benny Gantz's decision to resign from the cabinet and join the forum supporting a change of government."
Notably, Yair Golan, newly elected as the leader of Labor, and Merav Michaeli, the current formal head of Labor, were not invited to the meeting, nor were the heads of Arab parties.
