The leader of the Machane Mamlachti party, Minister Benny Gantz, shared his thoughts on the conscription issue.

“This shouldn’t have ended up in the High Court. The government should've come up with a conscription proposal a year ago, but back then, our leaders were preoccupied with a power struggle,” remarked Gantz.

He also addressed the state of the IDF. "Before October 7, some believed the army could transition to a fully professional force. Now it's clear to everyone that the 'people's army' model is still the best," noted the former defense minister.

Gantz emphasized, "Looking ahead 10 years, we'll need all segments of society, including the ultra-Orthodox and Arabs, to share the burden."
