Fire crews and aerial firefighting teams have been battling a blaze near Kiryat Shmona for over five hours. The fire sparked from a rocket crash the previous day; although initially extinguished, dry, hot weather and wind reignited it.

By the evening of June 3, the fire service declared that they couldn't halt the spread, with flames advancing towards homes in the Bimat Tel Hai neighborhood in the city's north.

The fire razed multiple wooden sheds and gazebos and caused roof damage to one house.
