The IDF announced the successful completion of the first testing by the artillery corps of the new automatic self-propelled howitzer "Thunderer" ("a-Ro'em").
The new self-propelled artillery unit is capable of rapid movement on both highways and rugged terrain and features a fully automatic firing system, significantly increasing the rate of fire and reducing the crew required for operation.
The new system significantly exceeds all artillery installations currently in service with the IDF in terms of firing range.
