Soldiers from the Border Police's undercover unit, alongside the Samaria Territorial Brigade and the Nahshon Battalion, conducted a successful daylight operation in Nablus, guided by General Security Service intelligence.
MAGAV fighters entered the Balata refugee camp and surrounded the celebration hall where a wanted militant was located. The armed terrorist attempted to take a position on the roof but was shot and killed. He was a high-ranking member of the terrorist group.
A firefight ensued with other militants in the area, who fired and threw explosive devices at the soldiers. The undercover unit returned fire, neutralizing several targets. Palestinian sources report one killed and ten wounded.
The Border Police press service stated that the operation in Nablus is ongoing.
