On Wednesday, June 5, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conducted a working trip to northern Israel. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the trip's itinerary did not include meetings with civil officials, including the mayor of Kiryat Shmona.

However, on June 4, the director general of the Prime Minister's Office, Yossi Shelley, met with local leaders in northern Israel, including the mayor of Kiryat Shmona.

Previously, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Netanyahu would not participate in the ceremony dedicated to Jerusalem Day. The annual ceremony is set to take place on the evening of June 5 at Ammunition Hill, as Netanyahu is focused on addressing issues related to the conflict in the south and north.
