According to the Border Police, the suspect's house was surrounded, and he was ordered to surrender. The suspect attempted to flee, prompting the forces to open fire, injuring him in the leg. He was subsequently arrested and handed over to Shin Bet investigators for interrogation.
During the operation, local militants attempted to interfere by throwing explosive devices at the soldiers. In response, the forces opened fire, killing one of the attackers.
