Communications minister Shlomo Karhi has signed an order extending the ban on the broadcast of the Al Jazeera news network in Israel for 45 days.
The cabinet unanimously adopted the decision, as security services unequivocally indicated that the channel's broadcasts constitute actual harm to state security during wartime.
"We will not allow the terrorist channel Al Jazeera to broadcast from Israel and endanger our soldiers. Given the severe damage to state security caused by the terrorist channel Al Jazeera, I am confident that the broadcast ban will continue to be extended in the future," the communications minister said.
