On Saturday, June 8, National Unity leader and war cabinet minister Benny Gantz will hold a press conference in Kfar Maccabiah this evening at 8 p.m. after canceling yesterday's news conference, at which he was expected to withdraw from the coalition.
Gantz set a deadline for Benjamin Netanyahu to address his concerns and present a mutually agreed-upon plan for the Gaza conflict, which the Prime Minister failed to do.
The hostage rescue operation diverted public attention from Gantz's political maneuvers, prompting him to delay his announcement.
It remains unclear if Gantz will announce National Unity's exit from the government or postpone the decision again, especially considering the impending visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the beginning of the week.
National Unity’s exit would not topple the government, which holds 64 of 120 Knesset seats without the centrist party.
