U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Israel for his eighth visit to Jerusalem since October 7.

His schedule includes meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Blinken traveled to Israel from Cairo, where he met with President Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi. According to media reports, the primary focus of their discussions was mediation efforts to reach an agreement between Israel and Hamas.

During his Middle East tour, Blinken will also visit Jordan and Qatar.
