The troops of the Givati Brigade are operating in the Shabora area of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, destroying terrorist infrastructure and eliminating militants.
According to the IDF, Givati fighters, supported by aviation, eliminated six armed militants. They then searched the building the terrorists had exited and discovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition, as well as a tunnel shaft leading to a "terrorists' underground compound."
The 8170th Engineer Battalion destroyed the terrorists' hideout.
This past week, during an operation in the area, Maj. Tal Pshebilski Shaulov, 24, Staff Sgt. Eitan Karlsbrun, 20, Sgt. Almog Shalom, 19, and Sgt. Yair Levin, 19, fell in battle.
