Thousands of protesters gathered near the Knesset building in Jerusalem to demand the dissolution of the government and early elections.
Haaretz writes that this rally was attended by hundreds of university workers who had previously held a picket in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Givat Ram against the “law of silence” that allows the dismissal of teachers who speak out against the policies pursued by Israel.
After the end of the rally at the Knesset, some of the demonstrators intend to march to the private residence of the Netanyahu family on Aza Street.
A large police force is located in the area of the government complex and on the descent to the Begin Highway.
