According to the Israeli television channel Keshet-12, representatives of Hamas and Fatah held negotiations in Doha, discussing the "day after the war."

This meeting, according to the channel's sources, took place two weeks ago. Hamas indicated that it is ready to transfer civil administration of the Gaza Strip to Fatah while retaining control over the security forces through the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, its military wing.

Participants in the meeting from Hamas included Ismail Haniyeh and Khalil al-Hayya, the group's representative in Gaza, who is considered a close associate of Yahya Sinwar.
