The IDF confirmed that on the night of June 26, an enemy drone was detected near Eilat, flying from the direction of the Red Sea.

An interceptor missile was fired at the drone, which fell into the sea outside Israeli territory. An alarm was activated due to the aerial threat.

The pro-Iranian group Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for launching attack drones toward Eilat on the night of June 26.

A video showing the "erroneous" launch of the interceptor missile in Eilat has circulated on social media.
