The Gaza Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, reported on June 27 that since October 7, 37,765 people have died and 86,429 have been injured in the Gaza Strip due to ongoing hostilities.

In the past 24 hours, the Ministry recorded 47 deaths and 52 injuries during fighting in Gaza. It's important to note that these figures cannot be independently verified, and the Ministry does not differentiate between civilian and militant casualties.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated it cannot confirm the accuracy of these figures, but a recent analysis in The Lancet suggested they may be close to reality.

According to IDF reports, many militants are killed daily in Gaza, totaling around 15,000 militants and commanders since the conflict began. Hamas has acknowledged approximately 6,000 of its fighters killed.

The Gaza Ministry attributes all casualties to IDF actions, though it's clear many deaths result from militant actions or other causes.

The UN reports that about 40% of those killed were military-age men, 20% women, 32% minors, and 8% elderly.
