Central District police arrested a 65-year-old resident of Kiryat Ono for allegedly transporting illegal Palestinian workers in his car trunk. Following an investigation, the prosecutor's office filed charges against him.
Police responded to a checkpoint near the village of Rantis after soldiers detained an Israeli who refused inspection of his car. Upon inspection, police found four Palestinian illegal immigrants hidden in the trunk, wrapped in sheets. The driver and the immigrants were detained, and the driver's detention was later extended by the court.
