IDF intensifies Gaza operations: Increased nighttime hostilities reported

In northern Gaza, combat operations are ongoing in the Shuja'iyya and Ad-Daraj areas, east of Gaza City. IDF artillery shelled targets in eastern Shuja'iyya and the Zeitoun area of Gaza City.
In central Gaza, IDF artillery shelled targets north of Nuseirat. The IDF struck the home of the Abu Kainis family in Deir al-Balah, resulting in casualties. An IDF airstrike destroyed the home of the Azzam family in Nuseirat. IDF aircraft also targeted the Hamas Civil Defense headquarters in central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, the Israeli army shelled targets in the western Rafah area and the southwestern part of Khan Younis, causing injuries.

On June 27, Sergeant Eyal Shynes, 19, was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip. He served with the 931st Battalion in the Nahal Brigade.
