Sergeant Eyal Shynes, 19, was killed during fighting in southern Gaza, the IDF says.
He was from Kibbutz Afik and served with the 931st Battalion in the Nahal Brigade.
316 soldiers have been killed since the start of the ground operation, the Swords of Iron War, in Gaza on October 27, 2023.
A total of 668 IDF soldiers have died since October 7, 2023. This number also includes victims of the October 7 attack, fighting near the Lebanese border and in Judea and Samaria, as well as the casualties of terrorist attacks within Israel.
