The IDF Spokesperson's Unit reported that, in a joint operation with the Shin Bet in Tulkarm, Said Jaber, leader of a militant group involved in terrorist attacks against civilians and military personnel on the "seam line" between Israel and the PA, was killed.
The report stated that Said Jaber was eliminated along with other militants with him in the house.
According to Israeli intelligence, these militants were linked to the terrorists who carried out the attack in Qalqilya that killed 67-year-old Petah Tikva resident Amnon Mokhtar.
Palestinian media reported that the commander of an Islamic Jihad cell in Tulkarm was killed in the IDF operation.
