The IDF confirms reports of a rocket attack from the Gaza Strip on the morning of July 1 and states that around 20 rockets were fired by terrorists from Khan Yunis within one hour.
Some of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, while others fell in open areas. No casualties have been reported, according to the IDF.
IDF artillery retaliated by striking the rocket launch sites. The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for the attack.
