Palestinian sources reported intense airstrikes on targets in the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City.

Several hours earlier, the IDF's Arabic-language press office recommended that residents of three eastern neighborhoods — Tuffah, the Old City, and Daraj — find shelter in the western part of Gaza.

Residents of the Western Negev reported hearing explosions. The IDF stated that explosions might be heard in communities within several kilometers of the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli Air Force strikes on targets in Gaza.
