Hezbollah announces death of former Nasrallah bodyguard
Hezbollah has announced the death of Yasser Qarnabash, a former bodyguard of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
In a statement, Hezbollah said Qarnabash resided in Zawtar El Charkiyeh in southern Lebanon. Al Arabiya reports he was responsible "for transporting personnel and weapons to Syria."
According to available information, Qarnabash was killed on the Beirut-Damascus highway in today's airstrike.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a drone, presumably Israeli, attacked a vehicle on the Damascus-Beirut highway near the 4th Division checkpoint in the Judaydat Yabus area. According to SOHR sources, the car belonged to Lebanese Hezbollah and was completely destroyed in the attack.
