Palestinian sources have identified the terrorist who carried out the car-ramming attack on soldiers near Tzrifin. The assailant was Muhammad Aaleb Mahmoud Shahab, 27, an Israeli citizen and a resident of East Jerusalem. The terrorist was shot dead.
Around 13:15 on July 14, the first reports emerged of a terrorist attack near the Nir Tzvi Junction, located close to the "Tzrifin" military base in the Ramla area. The Magen David Adom emergency service reported that three young men were injured, with two in serious condition and one with minor injuries.
The perpetrator rammed his car into pedestrians and crashed into a bus stop. The terrorist was shot dead at the scene. The injured were transported to the nearby Shamir Medical Center.
The targets of the terrorist were military personnel.
