IDF strikes targets in Syria in response to drone attack
The IDF announced that it has carried out strikes on targets in Syrian territory, hitting a command center and military infrastructure used by the Syrian army.
"Last night, the IDF attacked the central command and military infrastructure of the Syrian army. Additionally, targets used by the Syrian army's air defense system were attacked. This attack was carried out following the interception of two UAVs that flew from Syrian territory into the area north of Eilat on Saturday. The Syrian regime is responsible for any terrorist activity from its territory and will face consequences," the official statement reads.
At 3:08 AM on July 13, rocket warning sirens sounded in the Shkhoret industrial zone in Eilat. The IDF reported that air defense forces successfully intercepted two suspicious airborne targets flying from the east. According to military sources, the alarm was activated due to the threat of falling debris. No injuries were reported.
