The highly unpleasant situation surrounding the ban on the brother of kidnapped Yitzhak Elgert from visiting the Knesset has been resolved. Moshe Chico Edri, Director General of the Knesset, held a meeting with Danny Elgert and MK Efrat Rayten-Marom, during which an agreement was reached. Starting tomorrow, Elgert will once again be allowed to visit the Knesset.

Danny Elgert, one of the most active members of the movement for the release of hostages and the brother of Itzik Elgert, who Hamas kidnapped, has committed to not disrupting order in the Knesset. After causing a disturbance at a discussion in the Constitutional Committee, stewards had to remove him forcibly, and security subsequently barred him from entering scheduled meetings.

On Monday, Elgert attempted to enter the Knesset again but was denied entry as he refused to promise not to disrupt the order. Elgert then sat at the entrance of the parliamentary complex, refusing to leave until he was allowed in.
