IDF confirms elimination of terrorist commander in Lebanon

The IDF confirmed that on July 18, the Israeli Air Force killed Muhammad "Abu Mahmoud" Jabara, a commander of the Al-Jama'a al-Islamiya organization responsible for numerous rocket attacks on Israeli territory, in the Bekaa region of Lebanon.

"His removal harms the Hamas terrorist organization's ability to encourage and carry out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel on the northern border," the IDF said in a statement.

The attack targeted the car in which Jabara was riding. Media outlets associated with Hezbollah claim the attack was carried out by an Israeli drone.

The leadership of Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya officially confirmed the death of Abu Mahmoud Jabara. The Al-Jama'a al-Islamiya group, along with Hezbollah and Hamas, is participating in the war against Israel.
