Another participant in the October 7 massacre, Islamic Jihad militant Ahmad al-Masri, was also killed in the airstrike.
The IDF stated that over the past 24 hours, Givati Brigade fighters in the Rafah area of southern Gaza discovered several tunnels and eliminated multiple militants.
Additionally, a Givati soldier was wounded by IDF rocket fire in the humanitarian axis area while providing security for trucks carrying humanitarian aid. The soldier sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized. The humanitarian axis was not operational for several hours following the attack.
