Shin Bet agents have thwarted a planned terrorist attack in Judea and Samaria that was being organized by Bir Zeit University students who are Hamas activists. The plot was reportedly supported by instructions and funding from Hamas representatives in Turkey.
The terrorist cell, which was linked to the student organization at Bir Zeit University, received financial backing and operational guidance from Hamas officials based in Turkey. During the operation, Shin Bet agents confiscated thousands of dollars in cash and firearms from the suspects.
