IDF and Shin Bet confirm elimination of two terrorist commanders
The IDF and Shin Bet have confirmed that terrorist commanders Namar Hamida and Izz ad-Din Aqila were killed in a recent airstrike on a target in the Gaza Strip.
This attack is believed to be the one on July 13, during which around 20 terrorists were killed in Shati, west of Gaza City.
Namar Hamida was expelled to Gaza after being released as part of the "Shalit deal" in 2011. According to Abu Ali Express, Hamida, a Fatah militant, had been living in Ramallah. He was sentenced to six life sentences in 2005 for his role in the October 19, 2003, attack on Ein Yabrud, which resulted in the deaths of three soldiers from the Duhifat Battalion: Elad Polak, Roi Yaakov Solomon, and Erez Idan.
Izz ad-Din Aqila was a member of the Shahada al-Aqsa group, which has close ties with Hamas.
