The IDF announced that forces from the "Haruv" and "Duvdevan" special units, along with the 636th battalion, Border police, and the Shin Bet, have completed an anti-terror operation in Tulkarem.
The army states that during the operation, an apartment used as a hideout by the head of Hamas in Tulkarem was blown up. The military noted that the apartment was booby-trapped by militants.
The military emphasized that the terrorists eliminated during this operation were involved in a series of attacks carried out in recent months, including the shelling of the Bat Hefer settlement.
Previously, the IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the elimination of the leader of Hamas militants in Tulkarem, Ashraf Hasan Nafa, as well as another terrorist. It was reported that Ashraf Hasan Nafa, who was killed during the operation, was responsible for manufacturing explosive devices and placing them in the path of IDF forces. Additionally, he maintained contacts with Hamas representatives abroad and was involved in the dissemination of extremist materials.
The elimination of terrorist Muhammed Awad was also confirmed after identification. It is known that he not only participated in armed attacks on Israeli soldiers but also raised funds for terror propaganda, purchased equipment, and ammunition for militants in Tulkarem.
