IDF confirms Iranian-made rocket used in Majdal Shams attack
On July 28, the IDF released photos of fragments from the rocket that exploded on a soccer field in Majdal Shams on July 27, confirming it was an Iranian-made Falak-1 rocket.
The IDF also published a map showing the launch time and location of the rocket, which was fired from Lebanon. The IDF reiterated that only Hezbollah, which carried out the attack, possesses Falak-1 missiles in Lebanon.
Daniel Hagari stated that Israel has identified the rocket commander as Ali Yahya Muhammad, responsible for rocket attacks from the Shebaa region.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi confirmed that a Falak-1 rocket with a 53-kilogram warhead hit the soccer field, resulting in the deaths of 12 children and teenagers and injuring dozens more.
