Israel's Military-Political Cabinet Meets to Discuss Response to Hezbollah Missile Strike
The military-political cabinet is currently meeting at the Kirya in Tel Aviv, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who returned today from the United States, in attendance.
Netanyahu's return was expedited after news broke that 12 children and teenagers were killed in Majdal Shams by a missile strike from Lebanon. According to the IDF, Hezbollah carried out the attack using an Iranian-made missile. The primary agenda for the meeting is determining Israel's response to the attack.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Chief of the General Staff Herzi Halevi, Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar, Prime Minister's military secretary Roman Gofman, Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman, head of the National Security Council Tzachi Hanegbi, and other representatives from the army and security agencies are also attending the meeting.
