Military police detained nine IDF reservists at the Sde Teiman detention center, where militants from the Gaza Strip are held, following the hospitalization of a detainee with an anal injury. The arrest sparked resistance from troops at the base.
Protesters, including National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Knesset members, gathered near the base in response.
The IDF Spokesman's Office clarified that the reservists were being questioned, not arrested, and that military police had left Sde Taiman.
Likud MK Tali Gottlieb urged protesters to move to the military police base near Beit Lid, where the detainees were taken.
