On July 31, Qatari television channel Al Jazeera reported the deaths of its correspondent, Ismail al-Ghoul, and cameraman, Rami al-Rafi, in the Gaza Strip.
The journalists were working near Ismail Haniyeh's residence when their car was reportedly hit by an Israeli shell, according to Al Jazeera. Earlier, al-Ghoul had posted images of the damaged Haniyeh family home on his X-blog.
Al Jazeera's broadcasts are currently banned in Israel.
