The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson's Unit announced that a suspect involved in the terrorist attack at Beit Anun junction near Kiryat Arba was apprehended in a joint operation with the Shin Bet Security Service.
The suspect admitted to his involvement during preliminary interrogation and has been handed over to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
Early this morning, a gunman with a pistol attacked the junction near the Kiryat Arba bypass road, shooting and then stabbing an Israeli citizen before fleeing. The victim, a man in his 50s, was hospitalized in serious condition at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
