Al-Akhbar: Hezbollah makes clear to Amos Hochstein it's not ready for ceasefire with Israel
Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reports that Amos Hochstein, an advisor to President Joe Biden and a special representative of the U.S. administration handling contacts on Middle Eastern issues, reached out to representatives of Hezbollah in an attempt to gauge the possibility of indirect mediation to resolve the situation along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
The newspaper asserts that Hochstein understood that such contacts currently make no sense as military actions against Israel will continue as long as there is war in Gaza.
Following this response, Hochstein decided against visiting Beirut, as reported by Al-Akhbar.
