Saudi Arabia issued a warning about the potentially dire outcomes of the Israeli army's operation in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip. Over a million refugees from other parts of the sector currently reside there.

In a statement, the kingdom's Foreign Ministry expressed, "Rafah serves as the last sanctuary for hundreds of thousands displaced by brutal Israeli aggression. We oppose forced relocation and once again call for a ceasefire."

The statement further emphasizes, "The targeted breaches of international and humanitarian law underscore the urgent need to convene the UN Security Council to prevent Israel from causing a humanitarian disaster."
