Over ten people dead in mass shooting in Iran
A 30-year-old man opened fire with an AK-47 rifle on his relatives in a remote village in the south-central Iranian province of Kerman. The shooter killed 12 people, including his father and brother.
The police have started an investigation. According to some reports, the motive behind the crime was a family dispute. Iranians are not allowed to possess firearms except for hunting rifles. Mass killings are relatively rare in the country.
