Cargo ship attacked by Houthis sinks off Yemen coast

The cargo ship Rubymar, owned by a British company and sailing under the flag of Belize, sank in the Gulf of Oman on its route from the United Arab Emirates to Bulgaria. The Houthis in Yemen have claimed responsibility for the attack.

The ship was targeted while in the Gulf of Oman. Earlier, a spokesperson for the Houthi military command, Yahya Saraya, stated that the crew of the ship was safe. According to some reports, the crew successfully evacuated the vessel.
