A ceremony was held at the Iranian naval base in Bandar Abbas to mark the commissioning of two missile boats, the Shahid Sayyad Shirazi and the Shahid Hasan Bagheri, into the fleet of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of the General Staff, attended the ceremony.

The design is based on the Chinese Type 22 Coast Guard catamaran boat, weighing 224 tons and capable of speeds up to 67 kilometers per hour. The People's Republic of China has 82 such boats.

However, the Iranian version is longer; instead of 40 meters, it is at 60 meters. The boat features a helicopter pad, radar, and anti-ship cruise missiles with a range of 700 kilometers. Plans are in place to construct two more ships for this project.
