Israeli Minister of Economy Nir Barkat, currently attending the summit of heads of trade and economic departments in Abu Dhabi, held a meeting with Saudi Arabian Trade Minister Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi.
During the meeting, Barkat underscored Israel's commitment to peace with nations also pursuing peace, stating, "Together, we can make history."
It's worth noting that leading up to the Hamas-organized massacre on October 7, there were diplomatic engagements between Israeli and Saudi representatives at international forums, including two forums held in Saudi Arabia.
However, this meeting marks the first encounter since the onset of the conflict.
