Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to arrive in Ankara on March 5 for talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The discussions will focus on the situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly the delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave.

According to a Turkish diplomatic source, Turkey has been providing significant assistance to Gaza in coordination with Egypt since the start of the Israeli attacks.

This aid will also be a topic of discussion during the meeting.

The recent attack by Hamas on Israel has hindered the budding normalization of relations between Turkey and the Jewish state.

Officially, Ankara refuses to recognize Hamas as a terrorist group and accuses Israel of perpetrating genocide against the population of the sector.
