Iranian state television reported the execution of a "terrorist" over a drone attack that targeted a defense ministry site in central Iran last year.
According to state TV, the man "planned to explode the workshop complex of the Ministry of Defense in Isfahan under the guidance of the intelligence officer of Mossad."
In April 2023, Iranian media reported an attempted attack on an Iranian Ministry of Defense facility in Isfahan. An explosion was heard as, according to Iran, the air defense forces shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle.
Iran also has several known nuclear research sites in the Isfahan region, including a uranium conversion plant in Natanz. The Iranian media regularly report attacks on industry facilities. The ayatollah regime blames Israel for the incidents.
