Hamas internal security forces have issued warnings to residents of the Gaza Strip against assisting Israeli efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the area, Reuters reports.

An official representative of the "special services" established by Hamas cautioned that individuals involved in such activities would be labeled as Israeli collaborators and dealt with severely.

Recent reports in the Israeli media suggest that authorities are considering transferring responsibility for maintaining order in territories controlled by the IDF to local clans.

"The occupiers are attempting to establish contacts with clan leaders. This constitutes direct cooperation with the enemy and a betrayal of our national interests. We will not tolerate this. Israel's efforts to establish governing bodies in Gaza are destined to fail," the group asserted.
